PROWLER FILM is a Toronto-based production company founded by writer/director Jasmin Mozaffari and producer Caitlin Grabham. Prowler focuses on creating films that stem from a feminist perspective, highlighting narratives and stories that challenge the ideas of gender, masculinity/femininity, misogyny & patriarchal ideals, race, and sexuality.

Jasmin and Caitlin both graduated in 2013 from Toronto Metropolitan University's acclaimed Film Studies program. They first found success with their fourth year thesis film, FIRECRACKERS (2013), which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and went on to screen at numerous festivals around the world including the Vancouver International Film Festival and the Munich International Festival of Film Schools. FIRECRACKERS was subsequently licensed to the CBC for broadcast.

Jasmin and Caitlin's first feature film, FIRECRACKERS, based off of the 2013 short, was selected by Telefilm Canada to receive funding from their Talent to Watch Program (previously Micro-Budget Program). The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2018 to great acclaim, with the Toronto Star calling it “one of the best Canadian films in years.” FIRECRACKERS went on to screen at over 30 festivals internationally. It won Best Film and Best Actress at the Stockholm International Film Festival in 2018, and also took home the 2019 Canadian Screen Award for Achievement in Editing and Achievement in Direction. The film was released theatrically in Canada and the USA and received rave reviews from the New York Times, New York Magazine, LA Times, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and many more.

In 2019, Prowler produced two music videos for acclaimed Canadian group, Austra, for their singles “Risk It” and “Anywayz” with Jasmin directing the videos.

Their most recent short film, MOTHERLAND, premiered at the 2023 edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, where it won the ShortCuts Award for Best Canadian Short Film. The film also won the Drama Jury Prize when it premiered at Aspen Shortsfest in 2024.

Prowler Film continues to develop new films, premium television content, and music videos.
